Upscale Dining Comes to Sheepshead Bay

Terra aims to give Sheepshead Bay residents the big-city experience without the commute to Manhattan. Co-founders and lifelong locals Oleg Rybak and Dmitry Khavko opened this modern European restaurant to deliver high-end cuisine with a neighborly spirit.

Restaurant by and for the Neighborhood

Rybak, whose passion is wine, and Khavko, a whisky connoisseur, both felt the area lacked refined restaurants nearby. Their solution was Terra—a restaurant shaped by their preferences and deep loyalty to the community where they grew up.

A Celebrated Chef Runs the Kitchen

Helming the kitchen is Executive Chef Dima Martseniuk, who relocated from Ukraine in 2009 and quickly rose through the culinary ranks in New York. He served as executive chef at Veselka, holds a Grand Diploma from the French Culinary Institute, and achieved notability in D.C. by opening Ruta, which earned admiration for his acclaimed borscht.

A Thoughtful Wine Selection

Terra places great emphasis on its wine program. The restaurant’s list, curated by Wine Director and General Manager Guillermo Lesassier, features over 600 different wines, offering something to suit every plate on the menu.
