Why Fusion East Is a Local Gem

Venues pairing restaurant vibes with live bands are few and far between in East Brooklyn. That’s what makes Fusion East stand out—offering a rare, intimate way to experience professional musicians right where you live. For residents of East New York, Brownsville, Canarsie, and nearby Queens, it’s a special addition to the nightlife scene.

Its Gateway-adjacent location also means it’s a breeze to reach from throughout the neighborhood and beyond.

Building a Community, One Song at a Time

This music series is brought to you by Brooklyn Buzz and EatandDrink.NYC—two platforms that spotlight great food, nightlife, and events across Brooklyn.

Cal Jones, Managing Partner at JIG Media (the driving force behind both sites), says the series is all about celebrating the city’s deep musical connections.

“NYC has so much talent, but not enough spaces for full bands to perform regularly,” Jones explains. “Fusion East is helping bridge that gap in East Brooklyn, bringing in crowd favorites and introducing new artists to the community.”

The ultimate aim? To provide that authentic live music ambiance you’d usually have to go downtown to find.

“We’re talking about solid bands with real followings,” Jones adds. “Anyone can come out for a great Caribbean meal, drinks at the bar, and that high-energy live music—no crosstown commute required.”

With the buzz growing, more locals are discovering this hidden gem for tunes, food, and togetherness right in East New York.
