That\u2019s why new senior-only housing developments tied to city affordability programs matter: they expand the supply of apartments designed for aging residents and offer a pathway to housing that isn\u2019t priced out of reach.<\/p>\n

One newly built option now accepting applicants is the\u00a0Gail P. Duke Senior Residence<\/strong>, a 47-unit building created for seniors, with affordable apartments supported by city housing programs. The residence is located at\u00a0350 Livonia Avenue in Brownsville, but the broader story is about the growing push for senior housing that combines affordability with supportive building features.<\/p>\n
