Governor Kathy Hochul appointed CUNY University Dean for Education Ashleigh Thompson to the Education Commission of the States, a national policy body that shapes education strategy across the United States.<\/p>\n

The appointment gives New York a stronger voice in national discussions on college affordability, teacher shortages, workforce development, and student outcomes. It also places a senior CUNY leader inside one of the country\u2019s key education policy networks.<\/p>\n
