There are several ongoing federal investigations into NYC Mayor Eric Adams\u2019 campaign and his top aides. Earlier this month, federal agents reportedly seized the phones of a top adviser involved in contracts tied to the migrant crisis.<\/p>\n<p>The city\u2019s emergency no-bid contracts for migrant services total $3 billion and have been criticized for mismanagement and waste.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this year, the city said it would no longer employ DocGo, a medical services company that was accused of improper conduct, including hiring subcontractors who mistreated and lied to migrants and threw out massive amounts of food, reported Gothamist.<\/p>\n<div class=\"widget widget-dfp gam widget-inject widget-inject-centre\" data-id=\"930186\" data-widget=\"41\" data-per=\"40\" data-min=\"\" data-path=\"\/21842630800\/NET_Inline1\" data-lazy=\"true\" data-targeting=\"[]\" data-dim-m=\"[[300, 250], [300, 600], [300, 300], [320, 320], [336, 280], [320, 50], [360, 120], [320, 100], 'fluid']\" data-dim-t=\"[[300, 250], [300, 300], [320, 320], [640, 480], [320, 50], [360, 120], [320, 100], 'fluid']\" data-dim-d=\"[[300, 250], [300, 300], [320, 320], [640, 480], [320, 50], [360, 120], [320, 100], 'fluid']\" data-size=\"[[300, 250], [300, 300], [320, 320], [640, 480], [320, 50], [360, 120], [320, 100], 'fluid']\">\n<div class=\"slot slot-widget slot-is-empty\">\n<div id=\"google_ads_iframe_\/21842630800\/NET_Inline1_0__container__\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Schaeffer denied that officials searched her apartment but acknowledged their visit. &#8220;Searching is a strong word,&#8221; she said, referring further questions to a City Hall spokesperson.<\/p>\n<p>Fabien Levy, deputy mayor for communications, declined to comment on specifics but said, \u201cWe expect all team members to fully comply with any ongoing inquiry. Molly Schaeffer is an integral part of our team.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Schaeffer has worked closely with Adams on services for the city\u2019s migrant population. She previously served as Adams\u2019 deputy chief of staff.<\/p>\n<p>Another senior adviser, Timothy Pearson, whose phone was seized in an earlier investigation, is also under scrutiny for his role in managing emergency contracts, which total $3 billion.<\/p>\n<p>Pearson has faced multiple controversies, including a lawsuit over alleged profiteering and another for sexual harassment and retaliation.
