Recent Presidential candidate, Andrew Yang<\/strong>, officially threw his hat in the ring in an attempt to become New York City’s next mayor. Yang filed paperwork with the Campaign Finance Board, as he joins 32 others who have filed paperwork to run for Mayor of New York City.<\/p>\n

According to the Daily News, Yang\u2019s political consultant Chris Coffey<\/strong> described the move as not an \u201cofficial\u201d signal that he\u2019s running, but merely a \u201cprocedural thing.\u201d\u00a0 \u201cWe aren\u2019t accepting donations,\u201d he said. \u201cNo status change.\u201d<\/p>\n

A recent poll by Public Policy Polling<\/strong><\/a> shows Andrew Yang with a slight 1 point lead over Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams<\/strong>, who was just listed as the Leading Candidate in the Mayor’s<\/a><\/strong> race.<\/p>\n

NYC’s primary election will be on June 22 next year.<\/p>\n
