Bojangles, the iconic Southern food brand known for its chicken, biscuits, and all-day breakfast, is officially making a comeback in New York City with a major expansion plan led by local business leader Habib Hashimi. The Carolina-based chain has signed a 20-unit franchise agreement to bring its flavors to NYC over the next decade, with the first location already under construction in East Flatbush, Brooklyn and expected to open this winter.<\/p>\n

Brooklyn Leads the Way in Bojangles\u2019 NYC Rollout<\/h2>\n

This marks Bojangles\u2019 first return to the city since a brief stint in the 1980s. Now, the company is tapping into Brooklyn\u2019s diverse and densely populated communities to establish its NYC presence. The inaugural location in East Flatbush is the first of many planned throughout the five boroughs, targeting neighborhoods with high foot traffic and strong local food culture.<\/p>\n

Franchisee Habib Hashimi, through Hashimi Holding Corporation, is spearheading the project. With years of experience operating quick-service restaurants in New York and Connecticut, Hashimi is confident in Bojangles\u2019 potential in New York City.<\/p>\n

The Bojangles expansion comes at a time when New York\u2019s food scene is seeing renewed investment from national brands eager to tap into the city\u2019s loyal consumer base. The company sees NYC as a key market in its national growth strategy, pointing to the city\u2019s walkability, urban density, and appetite for fast-casual dining.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a monumental moment, now that we\u2019re entering the New York Metropolitan area again,\u201d said Bojangles CEO Jose Armario. \u201cThe East Coast is craving the authentic, Southern charm that Bojangles delivers, and we\u2019re excited to introduce locals to something new.\u201d<\/p>\n

In addition to the Brooklyn locations, Bojangles has also signed an agreement to develop 35 additional restaurants across New Jersey, further solidifying its presence in the New York metro region.<\/p>\n

The company is actively seeking new franchise partners in New York State, presenting opportunities for entrepreneurs to open additional locations across the city and beyond.
