The Brooklyn Film Festival (BFF), returning for its 28th edition from May 30 to June 8, 2025, isn’t just about watching movies; it’s about creating a holistic cinematic experience. With screenings taking place at venues across Brooklyn and available online, the BFF is committed to making independent film accessible to a wider audience. This year\u2019s theme, \u201cPause,\u201d encourages attendees to step back and reflect on the power of cinema, making the experience even more meaningful. Founded in 1998, the BFF continues to shine as a beacon for filmmakers, critics, and film enthusiasts.<\/p>\n

The festival will showcase 42 curated programs across two primary venues: Windmill Studios in Greenpoint, hosting 31 programs, and the Wythe Hotel in Williamsburg, with 11 programs. These diverse locations provide unique atmospheres for enjoying the films, allowing attendees to immerse themselves in the Brooklyn film community.
