This initiative will create thousands of new business and job opportunities in the region.\r\n\r\n \r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">NYC AI Nexus: $3 Million Investment to Advance AI Adoption<\/h2>\r\n \r\n\r\nAt the core of this initiative is NYCEDC, which will invest $3 million into the NYC AI Nexus. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nyc.gov\/office-of-the-mayor\/news\/060-25\/mayor-adams-nycedc-release-first-of-its-kind-report-secure-new-york-city-global-leader-in\">The organization aims to:<\/a>\r\n\r\n \r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n \t<li>Offer financial support for NYC-based AI startups and businesses<\/li>\r\n \r\n \t<li>Promote NYC as a leader in AI development<\/li>\r\n \r\n \t<li>Encourage AI adoption across every major industry in the city<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n \r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n \t<li>Create and launch an AI Advisory Council<\/li>\r\n \r\n \t<li>Develop AI literacy programs in the city\u2019s public libraries<\/li>\r\n \r\n \t<li>Offer internship opportunities at AI-first startups for The City University of New York (CUNY) students.<\/li>\r\n \r\n \t<li>Support AI training programs that prepare New Yorkers for AI-related job opportunities.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n \r\n\r\nNYCEDC also released an RFP to find organizations that can help contribute to the NYC AI Nexus.
