Baruch, John Jay Advance to CUNY Volleyball Semifinals in NYC

Third-seeded Baruch and No. 4 John Jay each won 3-0 in first-round play of the 2026 CUNY Athletic Conference Men’s Volleyball Championship, setting up Thursday semifinals that keep the title chase centered in the New York City-area college scene. Baruch visits No. 2 Hunter at 6 p.m., while John Jay travels to top-seeded New Jersey City for a 7 p.m. semifinal.

Baruch and John Jay both swept their opponents Tuesday night to move into the CUNY semifinals, extending the local postseason spotlight on New York college athletics. Defending champion Baruch overwhelmed No. 6 Lehman 25-12, 25-15, 25-21, and No. 4 John Jay downed No. 5 Brooklyn 26-24, 25-20, 25-18 at The Doghouse, advancing as the conference tournament tightens toward Thursday’s matchups.
