Brooklyn voters will see two powerful voices for justice on the ballot this June. Janice Chen<\/strong> and Janice Purvis<\/strong>, both officially certified as candidates for Kings County Civil Court Judge<\/strong>. With each campaign powered by grassroots community support, Chen and Purvis are moving forward with a commitment to fairness, equity, and accessibility in the courtroom.<\/p>\n

Importantly, Chen and Purvis are not running against each other, which means voters can cast their ballots for both candidates in this critical judicial race.<\/p>\n

Janice Chen, a dedicated advocate for equity on the bench, secured her spot on the ballot with over 10,000 petition signatures. Chen said in a statement, \u201cI\u2019m deeply thankful to every Brooklynite who signed a petition, showed support, and invited me into your communities,\u201d said Chen. \u201cThis campaign has always been about listening first \u2014 and I look forward to continuing to connect with Brooklynites in every part of the borough.\u201d<\/p>\n
