Maggie Timoney becomes first woman CEO to lead a major US brewery.<\/p>\n
WHITE PLAINS, N.Y.<\/span>,\u00a0June 5, 2018<\/span>\u00a0\/PRNewswire\/ — HEINEKEN\u00a0USA<\/span>\u00a0today announced the appointment of\u00a0Maggie Timoney<\/span>\u00a0as Chief Executive Officer.\u00a0Timoney, a seasoned executive with more than twenty-five years of experience in the beer and cider business, will succeed HEINEKEN veteran,\u00a0Ronald den Elzen<\/span>, who will be returning to\u00a0Holland<\/span>\u00a0for a global role within HEINEKEN N.V.<\/p>\n Timoney is joining HEINEKEN\u00a0USA<\/span>\u00a0from HEINEKEN Ireland where she’s served as the CEO for the last five years.\u00a0 However, she’s no stranger to the U.S., she joined the HEINEKEN family in 1998 in a national sales planning role for HEINEKEN\u00a0USA<\/span>\u00a0and then held a series of sales, strategic planning and distribution roles in\u00a0the Netherlands<\/span>\u00a0before being named the managing director of HEINEKEN Canada in 2006.\u00a0She returned to HEINEKEN\u00a0USA<\/span>\u00a0in 2010 as SVP of Human Resources and a member of the management team.
