Based on an official press<\/a><\/span><\/strong> release, Dr. Lela Guledani<\/span><\/strong>, a scholar and business coach from Georgia, now in New York, has publicly urged U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) for greater clarity and fairness, following what she calls \u201cunjustified delays and administrative missteps\u201d on her employment-based green card application.<\/p>\n

A press event is set for October 30, 2025, at 11:00 a.m.<\/strong> at the Tvistomimedia Office<\/strong> at 3057 Brighton 7th Street, Brooklyn, NY<\/strong> in Brighton Beach. There, Dr. Guledani will discuss her ongoing petition and ask USCIS to move forward on her EB-2 National Interest Waiver<\/strong>, which she says has been held up despite strict compliance with all regulations.<\/p>\n

Problems With Application Processing<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Dr. Guledani highlighted that despite opting for premium processing\u2014which can guarantee a response within 60 days\u2014her application\u2019s review period has lapsed without any decision.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis marks the sixtieth day since premium processing was initiated. I\u2019ve always maintained lawful U.S. status, and my documentation meets every standard,\u201d she shared.<\/p>\n

She also identified technical irregularities: unauthorized case removals, case reopenings, and repeated evidence requests through the federal portal.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe materials submitted more than suffice for my petition to be approved,\u201d she asserted.<\/p>\n

Dr. Guledani claims USCIS admitted to an internal administrative mishap on her file, but instead of fast-tracking, requested further evidence\u2014a step she believes questions the agency\u2019s standard procedures.<\/p>\n

Committed Leadership and Service<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Guledani\u2019s background includes decades dedicated to higher education, conflict resolution, and civic activity. She possesses a Ph.D. in International Business and over 15 years of lecturing at universities. In Georgia, she served as a conflict issues minister and parliament adviser. She also attended the Open World Program to promote leadership education.<\/p>\n

Now in New York, she continues as a Business Education Instructor with Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce, teaches Microeconomics at College of Staten Island, and participates in the Women and Minority Entrepreneurs Committee. She also heads Guledani Insight Partners, her business development consultancy.<\/p>\n

Additionally, Dr. Guledani donates her time to local electoral efforts, assists immigrant women through the New York Women\u2019s Club, and supports the Georgian-American Republican Alliance and Business Association.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs a human rights defender from Georgia\u2019s disputed territories and a single mom of three, I am confident USCIS will address its mistake and approve my residency in line with the law,\u201d Guledani affirmed.<\/p>\n

Advocating for Immigrant Justice<\/strong><\/h2>\n

She emphasizes her situation as indicative of the hardships many skilled immigrants endure\u2014individuals who further innovation, scholarship, and social growth but face administrative issues.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy wish is to further America\u2019s prosperity by teaching, building businesses, and uplifting communities. I fully believe my work aligns with the values at America\u2019s core,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
