The study also found that women in their early 20&#8217;s are also putting off motherhood. Pregnancy in women between the ages 20-24 decreased to 4% in 2016 dropping to 73.7 births per 1,000 women, and for women 25-29 birth rates decreased by 2% to 109 births per 1,000 women.<\/p>\n<p>While rates for younger women seem to decrease, birth rates for women in their 30&#8217;s and 40&#8217;s increased in 2016.
