Kota the Friend<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0\u00aefltbys<\/a>\u00a0kicked off their\u00a0festival foray in Europ<\/a>e to a sold out crowd at\u00a0Scala, London<\/strong> on Monday night.\u00a0 Packed to its capacity, the crowd brought insatiable energy for each opening act, and of course, for Kota the Friend.<\/p>\n

Each opening act greeted them with impeccable showmanship and unique talent.\u00a0 The show started with a rousing, high energy set from Manhattan\u2019s\u00a0C-GOD4LIFE<\/b>, who knew just how to get the party started.\u00a0 His bass heavy set, and one of a kind vocal intonation hit just right. C-God\u2019s enthusiasm was matched by the second artist to hit the stage, Brooklyn rapper\u00a0ARTZ.\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>Using excellent stage presence, and up-tempo bars ARTZ connected with the Camden crowd with ease.<\/p>\n

Next up was London local Os, who used his inspirational brand of storytelling to his advantage.\u00a0 The homegrown act made the most of his opportunity to perform before fans and friends in the one-of-a-kind setting that is Flight Night.\u00a0 The final opener was Samuel Limata.\u00a0 Limata was spot on, with intimate performances of tracks such as\u00a0Fake in Love\u00a0<\/i><\/b>and\u00a0If you Dare<\/i><\/b>.\u00a0 That said, he ratcheted up the vibes on tracks\u00a0Holy Water\u00a0<\/i><\/b>and\u00a0Drunk, High, and Lonely<\/i><\/b>.<\/p>\n

And with that, Brooklyn’s own Kota the Friend took the stage.\u00a0 Kota\u2019s set began with several tracks from new album MEMO.\u00a0 The setlist followed the album chronologically from tracks 1-3, moving naturally from 365 Days of Peace\u00a0<\/i><\/b>to\u00a0Jumpman<\/i><\/b>\u00a0to\u00a0UP<\/i><\/b>.\u00a0Up\u00a0<\/i><\/b>was a clear highlight in the set, with fans bouncing to Kota\u2019s aggressive vocals and uplifting beat.\u00a0 Kota concluded with some of his classics, including\u00a0Long Beach\u00a0<\/i><\/b>and\u00a0Philly Jawn<\/i><\/b>\u00a0to cap off an unforgettable evening at London Flight Night.<\/p>\n

Next up for Flight Night in Europe is\u00a0Q-Factory in Amsterdam, Wednesday October 12th, Berlin Thursday Oct. 14 <\/strong>and Kota will celebrate his birthday on stage in PAris OCtober 16th<\/strong>.\u00a0 Limited tickets are available at\u00a0flightnight.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n
