Just a few weeks after filing a lawsuit to dissolve the NRA<\/strong><\/a>, New York Attorney General, Letitia “Tish” James<\/strong> has filed a lawsuit against the Trump Organization and Eric Trump<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

According to Politico<\/a>, the Attorney General is suing for a court order to force compliance with a subpoena for Eric Trump\u2019s testimony in a state investigation of several properties owned by the Trump Organization.<\/p>\n

Eric Trump, the executive vice president of the Trump Organization, was scheduled to provide testimony for the investigation last month but backed out less than two days before the testimony was scheduled to take place.<\/p>\n

James said in a statement, \u201cNothing will stop us from following the facts and the law, wherever they may lead. For months, the Trump Organization has made baseless claims in an effort to shield evidence from a lawful investigation into its financial dealings,\u201d James added, \u201cthey have stalled, withheld documents, and instructed witnesses, including Eric Trump, to refuse to answer questions under oath. These questions will be answered, and the truth will be uncovered, because no one is above the law.\u201d<\/p>\n
