Nikki Lucas<\/strong>, the District Leader of East New York, and huge supporter of seniors, will be the special guest host for the Diabetes Awareness Health Fair, Presented by AlphaCare<\/a>, <\/strong>in partnership with Borough President Eric Adams<\/strong>. This event, which is concentrating on seniors, will be held at the Brooklyn Sports Club<\/strong> in East New York Thursday June 22<\/strong> from 10am-3pm<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The event will include healthy refreshments, a cooking demonstration, exercise session, the AlphaCare Wheel of Health game, and loads of resources and giveaways. We encourage local seniors and senior centers to come out to this great event.<\/p>\n

You get a chance to talk to Nikki Lucas about senior initiatives in East New York, and\u00a0Ellen Edwards<\/strong>, who is a candidate for judge, and the Brooklyn DA’s office<\/strong> will be there to discuss legal advocacy for seniors. AlphaCare will also answer questions that you might have about Managed Long Term Care.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Resource tables include Access-A-Ride<\/strong>, Brookdale Hospital<\/strong>, MetCouncil<\/strong>, and more.<\/p>\n
