This effort will bring 83 new living units to the Jacobi Hospital campus in the Bronx\u201458 of which are permanent supportive studios for people leaving incarceration with chronic health conditions, and 24 designated as affordable through NYC Housing Connect.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Speaker Adrienne Adams<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> applauded the plan, describing it as \u201cessential to public safety and tackling the housing shortage,\u201d per a <\/span><a href='https:\/\/nycnewswire.com\/news\/nyc-oks-senior-housing-defines-eviction-harassment'><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">press release<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Supportive services and 24\/7 staffing are included at the site.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Enhancing Tenant Safeguards<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A bill advanced by Council Member <\/span><b>Sandy Nurse<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> now expands tenant harassment definitions to cover illegal evictions.
