Longtime organizer, second-hand baby and kids&#8217; shop The Flying Squirrel, has relocated to Greenpoint and the parade has moved with it. Since the shop literally just opened in its new space, the procession will be a brief one on Franklin Street to Greenpoint Avenue and then back for a party. We&#8217;re glad to hear the tradition will continue!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/cobblehillassociation.blogspot.com\/2013\/10\/get-ready-cobble-hill-halloween-parade.html\" target=\"new\"><strong>Cobble Hill Halloween Parade<\/strong><\/a> <strong>\u2013 Cobble Hill<\/strong><br \/>\nLine up in Cobble Hill Park, Clinton Street and Verandah Place<br \/>\nThursday, October 31 at 4pm<br \/>\nFREE<br \/>\nAs in years past, this parade will wind its way through the neighborhood with the Jah Pan Steel Drum Band leading the way. Afterward, families can trick-or-treat on Clinton Street. Come dressed as your favorite fictional character, Shakespearean or otherwise, or you know, just wear your costume. Little ghouls and goblins march along Seventh Avenue to Third Street, then turn left to Fifth Avenue and end at the Old Stone House, where the party continues with live music, dancing and other festivities. Make sure you pass by 2nd Street between Fifth and Sixth Avenues to check out the amazing Ghost Ship.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bam.org\/kids\/2013\/bamboo\"><b>BAMboo!<\/b><\/a> <b>&#8211; Fort Greene<br \/>\n<\/b>Outside the BAM Peter Jay Sharp Building, 30 Lafayette Avenue between Ashland Place and St. Felix Street<br \/>\nThursday, October 31 4-7pm<br \/>\nFREE<br \/>\nThe 12th annual fest has an ancient Egypt theme this year. Expect sphinxes, snakes and Cleopatras at this bash featuring candy giveaways, a costume contest, an obstacle course, button-making, hieroglyphics workshops, carnival games and performances by the Brooklyn Music School&#8217;s Rock Ensemble, deejays from Scratch DJ Academy and roaming stilt walkers.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/Halloween313Theatrical\"><b>Halloween 313<\/b><\/a> <b>&#8211; Fort Greene<br \/>\n<\/b>Thursday, October 31 5:30-9:30pm<br \/>\n313 Clinton Avenue between Lafayette and Dekalb Avenues<br \/>\nFREE<br \/>\nEvery Halloween, the creative volunteers at this house (including lots of theater design pros) put on a one-night-only, one-of-a-kind, over-the-top creep show for all ages. This year&#8217;s edition is called <i>20,000 Screams Under the Sea: A Steampunk Adventure<\/i> so expect creepy animatronics mixed with Victorian glamor. Performances run approximately every 30 minutes and take place outside.
