The nearly 19,000-square-foot <\/span><b>Brooklyn Basketball Training Center<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is set to open this fall on Flatbush Avenue and will be the new home of BSE\u2019s youth development initiative, <\/span><b>Brooklyn Basketball<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A Center for Growth \u2014 On and Off the Court<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The center will feature two full-size courts, a half-court \u201cshooting lab,\u201d and auxiliary baskets, all equipped with cutting-edge technology to help young athletes sharpen their skills. But it\u2019s about more than just basketball.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWe are excited to further enhance the area surrounding Barclays Center with our Brooklyn Basketball Training Center available to all, right in the heart of Brooklyn,\u201d said <\/span><b>Marissa Shorenstein<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Chief External Affairs Officer at BSE Global. \u201cThis initiative is about more than just basketball \u2014 it\u2019s about creating a safe, inclusive space where young people can learn, grow, and connect.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The facility will also include dedicated space for kids to do homework before or after training and a comfortable area for parents. The goal is to build a well-rounded environment where development, discipline, and community come together.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Programs to Serve Brooklyn\u2019s Future Stars<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The new center will host Brooklyn Basketball\u2019s ongoing programming, including daily clinics, after-school sessions, and summer camps and will introduce a new after-school initiative for kids ages 6 to 14 launching this fall. Every Wednesday, the program will focus exclusively on training for girls, a nod to the organization\u2019s commitment to inclusivity and female empowerment in sports.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThe Brooklyn Basketball Training Center is a game-changer, not just for basketball, but for the entire Brooklyn community,\u201d said <\/span><b>Sandy Brondello<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, head coach of the New York Liberty. \u201cWe aim to build the future of the game and empower our community, especially young girls, to dream big. Who knows? Some of them might be playing across the street at Barclays Center for the New York Liberty one day.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Brooklyn Basketball\u2019s Growing Reach<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Brooklyn Basketball already serves about 40,000 kids annually through its clinics and school-based programs in partnership with the <\/span><b>Department of Education<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. The new facility is expected to deepen that reach, providing a centralized hub for training and mentorship.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The initiative is part of a broader investment in youth basketball by BSE Global.
