Civil Court candidate Janice Chen calls for voter participation<\/span><\/h2>\n

One of this year\u2019s candidates, <\/span>attorney Janice Chen<\/b>, is encouraging residents to make their voices heard in a race that could have long-lasting impacts on access to justice in Brooklyn.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cFairness and equity must be more than ideals \u2014 they must be practiced in every courtroom,\u201d Chen said in a <\/span>press release<\/span><\/a>. \u201cNow more than ever, we need judges who connect with the people they serve and understand the barriers so many face in accessing justice.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
