July 6th, 2018 | New York<\/strong> – Mastermind Connect<\/a> and JIG Media<\/a> are honored to announce the 2<\/span>nd<\/span> Annual Healthy NYC Expo<\/a>, which is set to take place on Saturday September 29<\/span>th<\/span>, 2018 from 10a \u2013 4pm at Picnic Point on Governors Island<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Healthy NYC <\/b><\/a>is a citywide initiative that combines digital media and grassroots engagement to galvanize community influencers, elected officials, families, and healthcare professionals around the idea of improving the overall population health of New York City.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt is our goal to introduce the love for the outdoors to those children and families who might not have the opportunity to experience it very often\u201d, proclaimed Michael McConnell, Founder of NYC-based Men\u2019s Group, \u2018Mastermind Connect<\/a>\u2019. \u201cFamily healthcare is the cornerstone of upward mobility for underserved communities, and I\u2019m honored that our members can play a pivotal role in pushing the needle forward\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to over 40 booths and exhibits covering both health and fitness, the expo provides attendees with tips and tricks to implement a healthier lifestyle. Attendees come from a broad spectrum of ethnic, social, and economic backgrounds with an interest in learning, experiencing, and buying health-related products and services.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to JIG\u2019s COO, Vernon Jones Jr., \u201cNavigating the healthcare landscape in NYC is no easy task. Speaking from personal experience, answers are hard to come by and are definitely not found all in one easy-to-use place. The Healthy NYC Movement is here to change that. Our goal is to galvanize the entire community on a single platform, with one single purpose, which is to equip New Yorkers with the tools necessary to live their best life possible.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Event activities include medical screenings, prizes and giveaways, a 90\u2019s Hip Hop Yoga Challenge, Zumba in Wakanda, cooking demonstrations, family activities, and much more.<\/span><\/p>\n

With over 1,000 attendees and digital reach of over 90,000, the Healthy NYC platform is poised to become NYC\u2019s go to destination for healthcare information.<\/span><\/p>\n
