Tuesday, May 22nd, 2018<\/strong>– Student and community workshops start at 1PM and the\u00a0 evening show co-hosted by Brooklyn\u2019s own, Gbenga Akinnagbe from The Wire<\/strong>,\u00a0 starts at 6:00pm in the Billie Holiday Theater. Free and open to the public<\/p>\n This year, Urban Arts Partnership (UAP) will be hosting it\u2019s 11th annual Urban Arts Festival, which will host approximately 30 NYC schools at the historic Restoration Plaza, in partnership with Restoration Art<\/strong> and Honeybaked Ham<\/strong><\/a>. Students will perform in the Billie Holiday Theater and outdoor Amphitheater space, showcase visual art work in the Skylight Gallery and host a student arcade with games created by students in UAP\u2019s game design program.<\/p>\n This year\u2019s theme is \u201cOur Story, Our Voice\u201d, which will act as a campaign to engage the NYC community to experience the stories of our students throught the arts. Urban Arts Partnership believes that our youth and schools are rich with talent and knowledge. Urban Arts Partnership believes that empowering young people to follow in the legacy of artistic greats is a life-changing experience.
